# DREAM.DO.

> DREAM.DO. is a community music marketplace connecting independent artists and fans. This website introduces the marketplace and collects waitlist signups from fans and artists.

The official marketing and waitlist website is https://dreamdomusic.com/. The separate DREAM.DO. web app is at https://app.dreamdomusic.com/.

The homepage describes a model where fans discover independent music, listen to previews, buy directly from artists, and download high-quality audio without a subscription. Artists set their prices. Artists receive 85% of net proceeds after configured processing deductions; DREAM.DO. receives the remaining 15% of those net proceeds.

Music purchases provide a license to download and listen for personal, non-commercial use, as described in the Terms of Service. Artists retain ownership of their music; buying a download does not transfer copyright. Purchased content already downloaded remains the buyer's after an account ends.

Fans and artists can join through the homepage waitlist form. Select "I'm a Fan", "I'm an Artist", or "Both". The "Apply as an Artist" button leads to this same form and selects the artist option. The planned launch is October 2026. This is a target launch month, not a guaranteed date; waitlist members will receive launch updates by email.

**Artist revenue**

For paid USD purchases, the current configured processing allowance is 3.5% plus $0.30 per paid transaction, deducted before the 85% artist / 15% DREAM.DO. split of net proceeds. This describes the configured deduction, not the payment processor's actual charges.

The calculation uses integer USD cents, with round meaning rounding to the nearest cent:

- Processing deduction = round(paid amount in cents × 0.035) + 30 cents.
- Net proceeds = max(0, paid amount in cents − processing deduction).
- Artist proceeds = round(net proceeds × 0.85).
- DREAM.DO. share of net proceeds = net proceeds − artist proceeds.

For example, a $10.00 paid transaction has a $0.65 configured processing deduction and $9.35 in net proceeds.
